"To Those Who Overcome"

Dates: Wednesday 31st July to Sunday 4th August

Topic: To Those Who Overcome

Main Minister: Dr Keith Jenkins

Speakers TBC: Patricia Ross, Marc Emmerich, Darren Roy

Venue: Emmanuel Christian Centre Mill Street, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 7EB, England

Cost: The Conference is free to attend in-person. There will be a free-will offering for the speakers during the Conference, and a voluntary donation for food and refreshments.

Conditions

This event is for those who have read or are reading through the books of Joseph C. Hedgecock. Attendees are expected to study with the Lord. It is key to have studied the book My Sheep Hear My Voice (Revised or 2021 Edition) and to have watched the 2022 Summer Conference (online) before attending in 2024. Friends of SOLM are also encouraged to invite those they are discipling and who meet the conditions.

Each adult ticket-holder must complete a questionnaire and will receive a personal reply regarding any further study needed, such as to complete the Study Guide to My Sheep Hear My Voice. Full details for attendance are explained on Eventbrite. There is time to meet any criteria not already met, so registering early is helpful to catch-up if needed.

The application process is:

1. Register for tickets at: https://solm2024.eventbrite.co.uk/

2. Complete a questionnaire at: https://forms.gle/Ejp9XYMKfFzxcuuJ9

3. Receive a reply and meet any conditions before the 2024 Conference

There will be online streaming for those who cannot attend in-person (points 1-3 above still apply).

Accommodation

Travel and accommodation are to be found separately. You have time to book flights, trains, ferries, a hotel, guest house or even a camping place early, as the Lord leads. Staying with local church families will be reserved first for the SOLM team and speakers.

The Conference is for those attending to be equipped as an overcomer in these last days. Ulverston is between Morecambe Bay and the Lake District National Park which are great places to visit in any free time. The Emmanuel Christian Centre is easily accessible from anywhere in the small town of Ulverston and a short train ride or car journey from Barrow in Furness or Grange over Sands.

Some options for accommodation are:

Premier Inn Ulverston
Local Hotels and Guest Houses
Campsites and Cabins
Places recommended by the Town

Travel and Transport

The nearest large airport with direct trains to Ulverston is Manchester. Liverpool Airport has reasonable flights from Europe. For those flying into other UK airports or travelling by rail, direct trains to Ulverston are available from Lancaster Station. Ulverston is accessible from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway. You will be expected to test for Covid-19 before attending in-person and not attend if testing positive!

Families

Any separate children’s/youth work (to be confirmed) will be aimed at the message of walking with Jesus, hosted by the Bushcraft and Scout Group Royal Rangers or ECC’s Allstar team.
